Scuba diving Chimo with Chico's Dive Shop Puerto Vallarta

Torrecillas Afuera scuba
The largest cleaning station in the entire bay, the reef is a u/w mesa like structure, about ¼ miles diameter. From this plateau, many pinnacles rise
to the surface in form of small towers (torrecillas) the out side face presents a sharp slope into the deep and the visibility reaches up to 80 ft during
the summer months

Torrecilla Adentro scuba
The inside face presents the same structure with a sand bottom in 40ft of depth, the site is teaming with damsels and huge schools of snappers,
yellow tail surgeons, king angels, butterflies, cornets, parrots, new guinea puffers……great site for photo and video.

Potrerillo scuba
This is a small pinnacle located 2 miles further south, very much like Torrecilla Afuera with an endless school of yellow tails, because the pinnacle
is quiet small, it makes a great manta interaction.

Las Iglesias scuba
The spectacular bajo de Las Iglesias is located 1 mile off shore and right in front of the iglesia’s rock, this is the furthest site we dive and one of our
favorite advanced dives, depths range from 120 to 45 ft.

Chimo is the last authentic fisherman village located in the southern end of the bay and the area is good to dive all year
around, is no surprise to dive with 4 to 8 mantas in a single tank during the months of June, July and August. Chimo is the
manta’s capital of Mexico not to mention the unbelievable amount of tropical sea life surrounding every site.
